Ponsonby Tongan Community
In 1984 the Ponsonby Tongan Community was formed under the Tongan Chaplaincy. Some members were also in the Ponsonby Sacred Heart Parish. In 1990 the Tongan Community began singing at the Sacred Heart Parish every 4th Sunday and this continues today. At present we have 13 families in the Tongan Community.
• To involve the youth more into our community and spiritual work
• To continue the good work we have been doing for the church.
• To encourage healthy living in our community.
Every 3 years we vote for the positions on the committee.
